On Tuesday 24th September, our Year 13 Geography students visited Goring-by-Sea to investigate the impact of the groyne system on key coastal processes, including erosion and longshore drift.

Our students showed great enthusiasm throughout the day, applying their classroom learning to real-world examples while developing the physical Geography fieldwork skills needed for their independent investigations.

Their next step will be to present the raw data collected during the trip in a series of graphs, illustrating how coastal management strategies shape the coastline.

Special thanks go to Miss Taylor and Mrs Goddard for leading the trip and supporting the students in their fieldwork.
