Welcome to Woodcote Sixth Form
I am delighted that you are considering joining our Sixth Form as the next part of your educational journey. Whether you have been with us since Year 7 or you are looking to join us for the first time as a Year 12 student, this is an exciting time in the next chapter of your lives. Sixth Form is a time where you focus on subjects that you are passionate about and ones you want to delve further into; developing your own skills and deepening your knowledge further.
At this stage you might already be clear on the journey you are going on into adult life and might be aware of the opportunities available to you! You might already know the career pathway or university you wish to study at, or it might be that you are aiming to travel the world or work internationally. Or of course it might be that you are unsure of what the future holds for you – and that’s perfectly ok too! Here at WHS Sixth Form – we will support you in finding the right pathway for you and afford you a wealth of different opportunities and experiences to help you navigate your way and consider your next steps!
We are a Sixth Form which is built on community. Students come to WHS Sixth Form because it is safe, it is predictable, and if we don’t already know you personally, from spending five years with us, we ensure we get to know each and every one of our students, so we can fully support you – helping you to flourish in your areas of strength and supporting you to develop in the areas where you feel least confident. We are extremely lucky to have outstanding Sixth Form teachers here at Woodcote, that go above-and-beyond for the students every day. In 2025, our students achieved excellent A Level Results with 99% pass rate and 46% A*- B. In our Vocational Courses, we achieved 93% M-D* and 100% pass rate.
At Woodcote High School Sixth Form, we want to be able to provide every student in our community with the very best future life chances, which we recognise begins with the very best outcomes and experiences, as we know that learning changes lives. Above all, we want you to be happy, successful and well-rounded individuals who will contribute responsibly to society, and Woodcote is proud in our ability to develop our young people in this way.
