On the 6th of May, our Year 12 Media and Film Studies students travelled to the Design Museum to see The World of Tim Burton exhibition. Burton is a major name in the media/film industry. While most well-known for his cinematic work, students saw the full extent of his production as an illustrator, painter, photographer and author, as well as exploring key collaborations with designers.

This was a unique opportunity for students to truly understand Burton through personal archive and seeing the artist’s creative output from childhood to the present day.

They were excited to recognise works like Mars Attacks! Edward Scissorhands, Dumbo, Big Fish, Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice… And many more!

A day filled with inspiration and ideas for their own independent projects next year.
