Eliza M, Year 7 – Eliza is an amazing student who is wise beyond her years, she loves helping others and goes out of her way to assist. She has in-depth knowledge of materials, being able to answer GCSE level questions about Timbers, she is always engaged in her DT classes, and we can always rely on her for the correct answer. Eliza is respectful, self-reliant, and always kind; she is the perfect student to win this prize.
Bethany H and Lottie S, Year 8 – Bethany and Lottie are hard-working students who have raised £865 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. They will be training and participating in a 5K park run on the 2nd of March at Banstead Woods. The money that they raise will go towards specialised nursing care and support for these teenagers and in addition, will also go towards fun events such as pizza nights, ice cream nights, movie nights and many more.
Huseyin T, Year 9 – Huseyin puts a lot of time and energy into basketball outside of school, turning up for training and matches as often as possible, and only missing them through injury. He is a natural leader and valued member of the Debate Team. His dedication and willingness to compete at a very high level should be acknowledged.
Annalise E, Year 10 – Annalise stands out for her exceptional dedication and talent, not only in her academic pursuits but also in her extracurricular engagements. From her active involvement in clubs to her unwavering support for her peers, Annalise consistently goes the extra mile. Recently, Annalise showcased her musical prowess during the Christmas Concert, captivating the audience with her beautiful voice and undeniable talent. Beyond the stage, she also participates actively in the Bar Mock Trials and the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge. In both arenas, her commitment to excellence and meticulous attention to detail have set her apart. Her contributions not only enrich the school community but also serve as an inspiration to her fellow students. With her unwavering dedication and remarkable talents, Annalise continues to leave a lasting impact on those around her.
Benjamin K, Year 11 – Benjamin embodies our ASPIRE values. He is passionate, hardworking and is a role model for other students, both in lessons and in everything he does. He is very reliable and trustworthy. Ben is driven and determined and always seeks to achieve greatness.
The purpose of this scheme is to enable young people to raise their aspirations, believe in themselves and contribute to their society. Achievement Awards are designed to recognise a wide range of achievements. It is not just about being clever, or gifted, but about putting the effort in and doing their best. The success of the award scheme arises from empowering young people to nominate their peers and select the Achievement Award winner.
