Joél Shines for England U16s in UEFA Development Tournament
We are celebrating the incredible achievement of Year 11 student, Joél, who has been selected to represent England U16s in the UEFA Development Tournament in Spain.
Joél made a strong impact in his international debut, playing the final 15 minutes in England’s 4-0 victory over Colombia on Friday 28th February. He then delivered an outstanding performance in the 7-3 win against Denmark on Sunday 2nd March, playing 77 minutes and contributing to two assists.
Joél and the England squad faced France last night (5th March) – unfortunately losing 2-1, but still an amazing effort from the team.
This is an incredible achievement, and we are all immensely proud of Joél’s success. If you see him around school, be sure to congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!
