From the 4th November, you can support the Poppy Appeal by purchasing a Poppy (min £1) or a pin (min £2.50) via ParentPay. Our Sixth Form students will then distribute the purchased Poppies to Form Rooms.
The Red Poppy is a prominent symbol associated with Remembrance Day. Inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, the poppy represents the bloodshed and the sacrifices made by service members during wars. Wearing a poppy or laying a wreath has become a tradition to express gratitude and to remember those who laid down their lives for their country. We will hold our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony on Monday 11th November.
