Pastoral Care

The Sixth Form at Woodcote High School is for everyone.  It’ big enough to thrive, whilst also being small enough to care.

Offering a complete Sixth Form experience, studying here at Woodcote High will allow you the opportunity to meet new people, whilst retaining old friendships.  The Sixth Form at Woodcote High also offers all the academic support and pastoral support you had when you were at high school to ensure consistent progression throughout your two years.  There is also a range of 31 A Levels and Advanced BTECs to choose from that will continue to run despite low uptake, from subjects as diverse as French to Further Maths, PE or Politics.

One of our selling points is our small class sizes, so staff are able to find your strengths and areas of further development quickly to promote good progress. You get to know the staff quickly too and where to find them throughout the day.

We appreciate that there will be lots of different challenges and new things to experience and deal with, during your time in the Sixth Form.  Making the jump from GCSE to A Level is a challenge, but don’t worry!  There are a team of people to help you, from the Director of Sixth, the Head of Sixth Form, to your personal Form Tutor and even the amazing support offered by our Sixth Form Administrator, there is a wide range of support for you if you need it.  Being part of a school, we also have a network of support available to you – they are experienced in working with students. Plus, if you are worried about financial support, you can find out about the financial assistance which may be available to you via the Sixth Form Bursary.
